Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

You will join a well‑established independent practice with a strong tax presence in Manchester. The firm seeks an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to own a diverse client portfolio and work within a supportive tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients ranging from SMEs to larger corporate groups.
• Oversee corporate tax compliance, including timely filings and quarterly instalment payments.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities such as corporate structuring, R&D tax relief and capital allowances.
• Liaise directly with HMRC on behalf of clients and manage tax risk.
• Support complex advisory projects including due diligence, share valuations and international tax matters.
• Develop and mentor junior tax team members.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure work is delivered within budget.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified.
• Minimum five years’ experience in corporation tax within a professional practice.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio independently.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and junior development.
