Corporate Tax Senior Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a Top 100 UK accountancy and business advisory firm to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior Manager for their Birmingham office. The role offers senior leadership, client relationship management and the chance to shape the future of the tax department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a substantial portfolio of corporate tax clients, from owner‑managed businesses to large international groups.
• Review complex corporation tax returns, computations and group structures.
• Lead delivery of corporate tax advisory projects and act as a trusted adviser on tax matters.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships and support Partners and Directors with strategic work.
• Oversee workflow, utilisation, WIP and billing processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop members of the tax team.
• Identify new business opportunities, support tenders, proposals and fee negotiations.
• Keep clients informed of relevant legislative and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• CTA qualified, ACA qualified or both.
• Extensive corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• Proven experience managing complex client portfolios.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax compliance and advisory work.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Commercially aware with strong business development skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ambitious and motivated to contribute to department growth.
