Cosmetic Supervisor – Bodyshop Paint

About the role

This hands‑on position leads a busy bodyshop paint team in Bedford. You will be on the workshop floor, guiding technicians, solving problems in real time and ensuring every vehicle leaves the paint shop to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of paint technicians in a high‑throughput environment.
• Plan and coordinate daily workloads to keep vehicles moving efficiently.
• Provide hands‑on technical support and coaching when needed.
• Maintain exceptional standards of paint quality and finish.
• Drive health & safety, housekeeping and workshop discipline.
• Manage team briefings, holidays, attendance and day‑to‑day performance.
• React quickly to issues to minimise downtime and protect productivity.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician.
• 3+ years experience in a supervisory, team‑leader or workshop‑leadership role.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
