Cost Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturing business operating in the specialist healthcare market. Based in Derry, you will work closely with the Cost Accounting Manager and cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate costing data, insightful analysis and support commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consistent costing data and analysis across manufacturing operations.
• Prepare detailed variance, product cost and margin reports.
• Support the development and maintenance of SAP costing processes and reporting capabilities.
• Analyse cost reports on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual bases.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish and maintain cost standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve costing accuracy, reporting efficiency and overall business performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in cost systems and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to prepare, interpret and communicate financial reports accurately.
