Cost Controller

About the role

Harbour Energy is seeking a Cost Controller to join its Aberdeen team. You will provide cost control support across the business, maintaining accurate cost tracking data, delivering regular cost reports and managing detailed budgets and forecasts for designated budget holders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all activities are performed safely and in compliance with regulatory and Harbour Energy HSES procedures.
• Deliver accurate and timely cost information to operations and finance teams.
• Drive monthly cost reviews with incumbent budget holders.
• Collaborate with budget holders to prepare business plans, value of work done statements and forecasts.
• Track commitments and invoices against project activities.
• Support the Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) process for the area as required.
• Liaise with the Supply Chain function on invoice‑related issues.
• Provide data for cost allocation cycles and prepare variance and trend analyses.
• Work closely with contract owners and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting and cost reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in cost control, budgeting or financial analysis, preferably within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Understanding of HSES procedures and commitment to ethical compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with operations, finance and supply‑chain teams.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Aberdeen on a full‑time basis.
