Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver – Warehouse

About the role

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join a busy warehouse in Dunkeswell, near Honiton. The role is warehouse‑focused, offering regular weekday shifts, every weekend off and the chance to move from a temporary to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Move, transport and store stock accurately, maintaining correct locations.
• Ensure safe handling and storage of goods while following health and safety procedures.
• Support overall warehouse operations and maintain good housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Recent experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a warehouse, logistics or distribution setting.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines.
• Own transport is essential due to the location.

Required skills

• Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB or equivalent).
• Counterbalance Forklift operation.

• £15.47 per hour base rate, rising to £23.20 per hour overtime after 38 hours.
