Course Team Leader – Professional Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced construction professional to lead our Professional Construction courses at a leading further education provider. The role combines industry expertise with teaching, offering a rewarding balance between classroom delivery and curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, theory‑and‑practice based teaching across Professional Construction programmes.
• Inspire and support learners preparing for careers in construction, architecture, surveying and related fields.
• Share current industry best practice and technical knowledge in areas such as CAD, BIM and design.
• Guide learners to achieve qualifications while developing employability skills.
• Help shape and develop the Professional Construction curriculum.
• Monitor learner progress and provide targeted feedback.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Collaborate with a modern construction department equipped with industry‑standard facilities.

Required profile

• Level 4 qualification or higher in Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong industry experience within professional construction.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Passion for developing and inspiring learners.
