About the role

Join a nationally recognised police litigation team as a Court Advocacy Solicitor, working on civil protective orders that safeguard vulnerable individuals and support safer communities. The role offers autonomy, high‑impact advocacy and the chance to develop specialist expertise in a respected area of law.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of civil protective order matters from application drafting to court hearing.
• Handle Domestic Violence Protection Orders, Stalking Protection Orders and Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.
• Prepare high‑quality court bundles and progress urgent matters efficiently.
• Advocate in Magistrates’ Court and provide practical advice to police clients.
• Maintain accurate case management, diary control and time recording.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient shared workflows.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with 0‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Genuine interest in police law, litigation or public protection work.
• Motivation to develop specialist expertise in civil protective orders.
• Willingness to attend court hearings as required.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage pressure.
• Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people and public safety.

Required skills

• Court advocacy experience (preferred, support available to build confidence).
• Excellent drafting and written communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and professional accuracy.

• Salary range £50,000 – £67,500 per year.
