Cover Officer – Boys' Middle School

About the role

This permanent, term‑time only position provides cover for classes at the Boys' Middle School within the Hasmonean Multi‑Academy Trust. Working 36 hours per week from Monday to Thursday, you will help maintain high standards of learning and behaviour when regular staff are absent.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with the Cover Supervisor to arrange and deliver class cover.
• Ensure continuity of learning and uphold behaviour expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of cover sessions and report any issues.
• Support pupils academically and pastorally during cover periods.

Required profile

• Authority and confidence to manage a classroom.
• Strong organisational and time‑keeping abilities.
• Flexibility, reliability and good interpersonal skills.
• Experience of covering lessons is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi‑faith environment.

Required skills

• Competent IT skills.
