Cover Supervisor – Bromborough, Wirral

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to step into secondary school classrooms across Bromborough, Wirral. You will ensure lessons continue smoothly in the teacher’s absence, delivering pre‑planned work and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes of students aged 11‑16 when the regular teacher is absent.
• Deliver lesson materials and activities prepared by the subject teacher.
• Maintain classroom discipline in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
• Support pupils with queries, keep them on task, and collect completed work.
• Record and report any notable achievements or behavioural concerns.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children in mainstream or SEN settings (e.g., teaching assistant, support worker, tutor).
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Confident presence and ability to manage groups of teenagers.
• Clear, assertive and professional communication skills.
