Cover Supervisor – Flexible Supply Role

About the role

We are looking for reliable, confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis in local secondary schools in Bromley. The role involves supervising whole classes during short‑term teacher absences, ensuring students stay on task and complete set work. It is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers or experienced education professionals seeking flexible employment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes across a range of subjects during teacher absence.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensure students complete the work provided by the regular teacher.
• Create a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
• Report student progress and behaviour to teaching staff.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people (desirable).
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Confident, professional and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
