About the role

Are you a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor ready to make a real difference? Reeson Education is seeking a capable Cover Supervisor to work in a structured, dynamic school environment in Barnsley (S75) from September 2026. The role suits someone adaptable, organised, and able to manage classroom behaviour while delivering pre‑set work effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lesson Supervision: Deliver pre‑set lessons and ensure pupils stay on task.
• Classroom Management: Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold school policies.
• Student Engagement: Encourage participation and support pupils in completing assigned tasks.
• Progress Monitoring: Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil performance and behaviour.
• Professional Coordination: Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

Required profile

• Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A calm, confident approach when managing groups and handling challenging situations.
• A proactive and reliable work ethic.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
