Cover Supervisor – Maternity Cover (Part‑time, 1‑year Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Reed Education is partnering with a thriving secondary school in Buckinghamshire to recruit a Cover Supervisor on a maternity‑cover basis. This part‑time, fixed‑term position offers the chance to support a school recognised by Ofsted for strong leadership and an inclusive ethos.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes when the regular teacher is absent.
• Deliver pre‑set work and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively across a range of subjects.
• Support students of varying abilities to stay engaged and on‑task.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Confidence managing groups of students.
• Strong interest in education and student development.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute to school improvement.

Required skills

• Ability to create a calm, purposeful learning environment.
