Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Guildford)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support secondary-school classes in Guildford, Surrey. The role is term-time only and offers the chance to gain classroom experience while ensuring continuity of learning when regular teachers are absent.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Ensure that pre-planned work is completed and that students stay on task.
- Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different classes.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student progress and any classroom issues.
- Assist with additional educational activities as required.
Required profile
- GCSEs at grade B or above, including Maths and English.
- A relevant degree.
- Strong interest in working with secondary-aged students or pursuing a teaching career.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
