Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Temporary, Part‑Time)

About the role

Reeson Education is supporting a large mixed secondary school in Streatham that needs a Cover Supervisor from September 2026. You will manage a group of around 30 students, delivering set work to a high standard and providing a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and deliver lessons left uncovered, often with limited preparation and short‑notice notice.
• Maintain a positive climate for learning using the school’s Gold Classroom standards and behaviour policies.
• Help students build self‑esteem through praise, encouragement and positive interactions.
• Assist with the development and implementation of SEN support plans.
• Manage classroom behaviour consistently and fairly.

Required profile

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in and knowledge of autism, with experience managing distressing behaviours.
• Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm under pressure.
• Basic IT literacy using Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
