Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Term‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support secondary‑aged students in Guildford. This permanent, term‑time position involves stepping in for absent teachers and ensuring continuity of learning across a range of subjects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes across different year groups and subjects, ensuring pre‑set work is completed.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse student groups.
• Provide feedback on student performance and classroom issues to the regular teaching staff.
• Assist with additional educational activities as required.

Required profile

• GCSEs at grade B or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• A degree in a relevant subject area.
• Strong interest in working with secondary‑aged students or pursuing a teaching career.
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
