Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools (Crawley)

About the role

Engage Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Crawley. This position offers valuable classroom experience for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or anyone keen to work with young people.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short‑term teacher absences.
• Deliver pre‑planned lessons and keep students engaged.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Report student progress and behaviour to teaching staff.

Required profile

• Confidence managing groups of secondary‑aged students.
• Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
• Positive, professional, and adaptable attitude.
• Experience working with young people (desirable, not essential).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
