Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools (Full‑time, Temporary)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to support secondary‑age students across a range of subjects in Lewisham, London. This full‑time, temporary position runs until the end of the academic year and offers day‑to‑day classroom coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment during teacher absence.
• Monitor student behaviour and ensure safeguarding policies are followed.
• Provide clear feedback to students and report progress to the school.
• Collaborate with school staff to align coverage with curriculum objectives.

Required profile

• Experience working with children and young people.
• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Required skills

• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Ability to follow and implement lesson plans accurately.
