Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools in Worthing

About the role
Engage Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to step into secondary classrooms across Worthing when the regular teacher is absent. You will deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment and support pupils’s progress.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise classes during short‑term teacher absence.
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons and keep students engaged.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Create a supportive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Report student progress and behaviour to teaching staff.
Required profile
- Confidence managing groups of secondary‑aged students.
- Strong communication and classroom management abilities.
- Positive, professional and adaptable attitude.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Engage Education).
