Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools (Liverpool)

About the role

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in mainstream secondary schools across Liverpool from September 2026. This temporary position offers hands‑on classroom experience in a supportive environment, ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates or anyone keen to stay connected to education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑set lessons across a variety of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
• Support students in completing work assigned by teaching staff.
• Report student progress and behaviour back to teachers.
• Adapt confidently to different school settings, year groups and timetables.

Required profile

• Applicants such as aspiring teachers, experienced cover supervisors, retired teachers or graduates from any subject area.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Confidence in managing groups of young people.
• Proactive, adaptable approach with a genuine interest in student development.
