Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools (Okehampton)

About the role

We are looking for a resilient and adaptable Cover Supervisor to step into secondary classrooms across Okehampton during short‑term teacher absences. You will keep pupils engaged, maintain a safe learning environment, and support the delivery of pre‑prepared lesson material.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑prepared lesson resources to classes covering Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Manage pupil behaviour in line with each school’s policies.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour and completed work.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and raise concerns when necessary.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings, year groups and subject areas.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams and senior leaders.
