Cover Supervisor – SEN School (KS3‑KS4)

About the role

Join a caring SEN school as a Cover Supervisor, delivering pre‑planned lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils when teachers are absent. You will work in a supportive environment that values relationships, compassion and resilience, helping young people with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges reconnect with learning.

Key responsibilities

• Step into classrooms across KS3‑KS4 and deliver lessons confidently.
• Maintain a calm, structured and safe learning environment.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils who may be wary of adults.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with the school’s therapeutic team to ensure consistency.

Required profile

• GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two recent references.
• A calm, reflective and caring approach.

Required skills

• Ability to follow and deliver pre‑planned lesson materials.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support techniques.
