About the role

We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to provide day‑to‑day supply across secondary schools in East Sussex. This temporary position is ideal for individuals with experience in UK schools or those eager to start a teaching career.

Key responsibilities

• Cover classes across a range of secondary subjects, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom settings, school policies and timetables.
• Engage students in learning activities while maintaining discipline and a positive environment.
• Prepare and deliver instructional activities that promote active learning.
• Provide feedback on student work and keep accurate records of progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour by enforcing rules and procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in UK schools is advantageous but not mandatory.
