About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across East London, Waltham Forest. You will step in for absent teachers, delivering set work to pupils and ensuring a safe, respectful learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and support pupils while they complete pre‑planned classroom activities.
- Manage pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
- Answer questions about tasks, processes and procedures.
- Handle any immediate issues or emergencies according to school guidelines.
- Collect completed work and return it to the appropriate teacher.
- Report behaviour incidents using the school’s referral system.
Required profile
- Passion for teaching and learning.
- Minimum GCSE qualifications.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Genuine interest in developing classroom management skills.
