About the role

We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to provide day‑to‑day supply teaching across secondary schools in East Sussex. The role is ideal for individuals with experience in UK schools or those eager to start a teaching career, delivering continuity of learning when regular teachers are absent.

Key responsibilities

• Cover classes across a range of secondary subjects, ensuring lesson continuity.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and school policies.
• Engage students in learning activities while maintaining discipline.
• Prepare and deliver instructional activities that promote active learning.
• Provide feedback on student work and keep records of progress.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school rules.

Required profile

• Flexibility to take on varied teaching assignments.
• Previous experience in UK schools is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong desire to enter the teaching profession and passion for education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
