About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Teacher to provide flexible, day‑to‑day support for secondary‑age students across a range of subjects in Barnet and surrounding schools. The role is full‑time, temporary and starts on 2 November 2026, with typical hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Prospero Teaching acts as a work‑finding service, matching teachers with a diverse portfolio of secondary schools in the South East England region. The position offers a daily rate of £100–£170, reflecting the temporary nature of the work.

Required profile

Experience working with children and young people.
Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE).
Up‑to‑date safeguarding training completed within the last year.
Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Two professional references covering the past two years.
