Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools (Barnet)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Teacher to support secondary‑age students across a range of subjects in schools located in Barnet, London. The role starts on 02/09/2026 and runs on a full‑time basis (8:00 am‑4:00 pm) until the end of the academic year.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day classroom cover for a variety of subjects.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Follow each school’s policies, procedures and safeguarding guidelines.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans as required.
Required profile
- Experience working with children and young people.
- A degree (any discipline).
- Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS certificate with online update service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
