Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools (Full‑time)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Teacher to provide day‑to‑day support for secondary‑age students across a range of subjects in Croydon schools. The role starts on 2 September 2026 and runs until the end of the academic year, offering both long‑term and short‑term teaching opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver cover lessons for various subjects in secondary schools as required.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Adapt lesson plans quickly to meet the needs of different classes.
• Collaborate with school staff to support student progress.

Required profile

• Experience working with children and young people.
• A relevant degree.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate with online update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional child‑related references covering the last two years.
