Craft Engineering Technician

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Craft Engineering Technician to join our Utilities Engineering team in Bridgwater. The role offers a varied day‑to‑day environment supporting essential site services, with training provided to develop you into a fully multi‑skilled engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and compliance‑related inspections.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform fault finding across utilities and site equipment.
• Maintain boilers, compressors, CHP systems, effluent treatment plants and refrigeration equipment.
• Support facilities maintenance, including building repairs and general site upkeep.
• Strip, rebuild and service mechanical and electrical components.
• Assist with small engineering improvement projects.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of utilities equipment such as boilers, compressors, refrigeration, CHP or effluent plants is advantageous.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Ownership mindset, problem‑solving drive and desire to develop skills.
