Creative Arts Tutor – SEND College (Macclesfield)

About the role

We are recruiting a Creative Arts Tutor to join a specialist SEND college in Macclesfield on an immediate start basis. The role involves delivering engaging, learner‑centred creative arts sessions that inspire confidence, independence and personal development for young people with additional learning needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative arts lessons tailored to learners with autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning disabilities.
• Differentiate learning to meet individual EHCP outcomes and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records of learner achievement and attendance.
• Collaborate with support staff and wider college teams to create a safe, inclusive environment.

Required profile

• UK‑recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Creative Arts, Art & Design or Creative Media to post‑16 learners.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, autism or other additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
