Creative Teaching Assistant – September Start

About the role

Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic Creative Teaching Assistants to join a state‑of‑the‑art special‑needs school in Brentwood. The role starts in September and offers the chance to work with early years, primary and secondary pupils, supporting their learning and development in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support a tailored curriculum for small groups of 6‑8 students with autism, speech & language difficulties and complex needs.
• Develop speech and language skills, teach vocabulary and comprehension using visual resources.
• Assist students in core subjects such as numeracy and literacy.
• Facilitate creative lessons including art, music, swimming, cooking, K9 therapy and sensory play.
• Provide one‑to‑one support to enhance communication and social awareness.

Required profile

• Passion for working with children of all ages and abilities.
• Commitment, dedication and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to undergo training and safeguarding checks.
• No prior experience required, but a genuine interest in special‑needs education is essential.
