Credit Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join a leading international bank’s Credit team in the City of London. Reporting to the Head of Credit, you will play a pivotal role in assessing new credit proposals, monitoring existing exposures and helping to shape the bank’s credit policy framework.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and underwrite corporate credit applications across syndicated, project, acquisition and asset‑backed finance.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of credit policies, procedures and risk‑rating models.
• Collaborate with product, risk and relationship teams to ensure consistent credit standards.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in corporate banking or credit analysis.
• Strong financial analysis and credit evaluation capabilities.
• Hands‑on experience with corporate finance products such as syndicated lending, project finance, acquisition finance and asset‑backed transactions (e.g., shipping, aviation).
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data.
