Credit Control Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a dynamic business in the City of London to find a Credit Control Manager. In this senior position you will lead the credit control function, ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Credit Controllers.
• Oversee daily collections and guarantee accurate payment processing.
• Manage escalated debtor accounts, including legal referrals.
• Resolve customer disputes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Maintain precise customer account records.
• Coordinate relationships with external debt collection agencies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost team efficiency.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑one meetings and performance reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a team of Credit Controllers.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on results.
• Ability to lead by example and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency for reporting and KPI dashboard creation.

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £50,000 and £60,000 per annum.
