Credit Control Team Leader

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing technology‑focused organisation to hire an experienced Credit Control Team Leader. Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, you will own the credit control function, drive cash collection performance and develop a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end credit control processes including collections, reconciliations, refunds, cash allocation and query resolution.
• Monitor aged debt, improve debtor performance and support DSO reduction initiatives.
• Act as escalation point for late‑payment and high‑risk debtor issues.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve disputes and enhance customer outcomes.
• Manage relationships with external debt collection agencies and oversee accounts progressing to legal action.
• Produce and analyse aged debt reports, KPIs, forecasts and management information.
• Ensure compliance with governance requirements and support audit activities.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reporting quality and team productivity.
• Lead, coach and develop the Credit Control team through regular reviews, training and performance management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Credit Control leadership or senior role.
• Strong understanding of credit control, debt collection and debtor management.
• Proven ability to improve processes and reporting.
• Professional finance qualification (or studying towards one) is desirable.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• NetSuite (desirable).
