Credit Controller – 30 hrs/week Remote (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position. The role is fully remote after an initial training period in Macclesfield and offers flexible working hours across a 30‑hour week.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a large customer ledger and monitor aged debt.
• Chase outstanding payments via phone, email and written correspondence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage timely payments.
• Investigate and resolve account queries, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Support the wider finance team as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a credit control or similar finance role.
• Proven ability to handle a high‑volume ledger independently.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Comfortable working remotely and managing workload autonomously.
