Credit Controller – 3‑month contract

About the role

Altum Consulting is partnering with a life‑sciences business to hire an experienced Credit Controller on an initial three‑month contract. The role operates in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric B2C environment where delivering an exceptional experience is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Manage credit control processes, including chasing overdue payments via phone.
• Handle customer queries and resolve payment issues efficiently and professionally.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate customer records.
• Proactively collect outstanding funds while preserving strong customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance controls and efficiency.
• Support month‑end activities and reporting as required.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable, preferably in a B2C setting.
• Strong reconciliation skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Excellent communication ability to balance collections with a premium customer experience.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.

What we offer

• Competitive salary up to £34,000 per annum.
• Initial three‑month contract with the possibility of extension.
