Credit Controller – 3‑Month Temporary Contract

About the role

This temporary 3‑month contract supports a major debt recovery project for a well‑established organisation in Radlett. The Credit Controller will take ownership of a backlog of aged debt, working closely with customers and internal teams to improve cash collection and reduce overdue balances.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a large portfolio of aged debt accounts.
• Proactively chase outstanding invoices via telephone, email and written correspondence.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries that delay payment.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activity and customer interactions.
• Produce regular aged debt reports and updates for management.
• Escalate problematic accounts where necessary.
• Support the wider finance team with ad‑hoc credit control duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Credit Control position.
• Proven track record of reducing aged debt and improving cash collection.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage a high‑volume workload and prioritise effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Immediate availability preferred.
