Credit Controller – Full‑time role in Macclesfield

About the role
We are seeking a Credit Controller to join a long‑established company on the outskirts of Macclesfield. Working within a small, busy Credit Control department, you will manage your own portfolio of accounts and be responsible for recovering outstanding payments.
Key responsibilities
- Contact customers primarily by phone to recover aged debt.
- Resolve queries and investigate the root causes of delayed payments.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and payment arrangements.
- Build and maintain rapport with both large key accounts and smaller businesses.
Required profile
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
- Tenacious and results‑driven attitude.
- Strong rapport‑building and team‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive salary £28,000‑£30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Standard office hours 9:00‑17:30.
