Credit Controller

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Credit Controller to join a growing SME finance team in Bracknell. You will play a key part in maintaining cash flow, reducing debtor days and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Chase overdue debts via telephone, email and written correspondence.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Resolve invoice queries and payment disputes efficiently.
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Monitor credit limits and assess customer creditworthiness.
• Support month‑end processes and contribute to finance function improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Credit Controller or Accounts Receivable role.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Confidence handling high‑volume collections activity.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Experience in an SME environment is advantageous.
