About the role
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join the Finance team of a well‑established business in Polegate, East Sussex. The role involves managing debtor accounts, reducing aged debt and providing general finance administration support on a permanent basis.
Key responsibilities
- Reduce aged debt and escalate overdue accounts.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Proactively chase outstanding invoices via phone, email and other channels.
- Raise credit notes and issue client statements.
- Check incoming payments and update client accounts in the system.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a Credit Control, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good IT and communication skills.
- Own transport required due to location; parking available onsite.
