Credit Controller

About the role

Ian Williams is seeking a permanent Credit Controller to join its close‑knit Accounts Receivable team within the finance department at the Chipping Sodbury head office. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing high‑volume sales ledgers and taking a proactive approach to credit control.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support and information to clients and internal contacts regarding applications, invoicing, cash allocation and collections.
• Ensure key client payments are received within agreed terms and handle queries promptly and professionally.
• Execute the full dunning process, including phone calls, letters, emails, statements, solicitor letters and court actions where necessary.
• Assist with contract setup and verify that credit checks, service level agreements, client details, payment terms and invoicing information meet company standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Credit Controller is preferred.
• Strong relationship‑building and customer‑focused communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Confident, polite telephone manner with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, varied environment and adapt to business needs.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formatting).
