Credit Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our customer operations team in West Sussex. This people‑first position sits at the heart of our service, combining credit control, billing support and relationship management to deliver a seamless experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls with professionalism, warmth and empathy.
• Serve as the first point of contact for billing queries, account questions and general enquiries, resolving them accurately.
• Manage overflow calls from first‑line technical support, ensuring no customer is left waiting.
• Take inbound payments over the phone, set up direct debits and allocate payments to ledgers.
• Agree simple payment arrangements and apply account restrictions in line with company processes.
• Identify natural opportunities to introduce additional products or services that meet customer needs.
• Capture and share customer feedback to contribute to service improvement.
• Log all customer interactions in the CRM system with accuracy and navigate multiple internal systems.

• Confident problem‑solver with a keen eye for detail.
• Empathetic and able to handle high‑call‑volume environments.
• Comfortable discussing payments and following established processes.
• Team‑player who supports colleagues and contributes to continuous improvement.
