Credit Controller

About the role

The Credit Controller role in Brighton supports the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments. You will help preserve cash flow and build strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Chase outstanding payments from clients and resolve payment issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and update customer accounts.
• Reconcile accounts and efficiently resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute regular reports on aged debt and payment status.
• Support the accounting and finance team with credit checks and account monitoring.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to address queries.
• Assist in improving credit control processes and implement best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in credit control or a related accounting and finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities for client and team interactions.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
