Credit Controller & Payroll Administrator

About the role
This position combines credit control and payroll administration within a well‑established finance team. You will be responsible for maintaining cash flow through effective debt collection while ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the sales ledger, chase overdue invoices and allocate payments.
- Produce aged debt reports, monitor credit limits and support month‑end reporting.
- Process weekly/monthly payroll, calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses and statutory payments.
- Maintain employee payroll records, handle starters, leavers and changes.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation, manage holiday, sick and maternity/paternity pay.
- Respond to payroll queries and assist with pension auto‑enrolment.
Required profile
- Previous experience in credit control and/or payroll administration.
- Strong numerical, analytical and organisational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
