Credit Controller – Temporary Hybrid Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy, high‑performing credit team on a temporary basis until the end of the year. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work both from the office in Tadworth and remotely, and offers the chance to manage a portfolio of major accounts while driving cash collection targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and collect debt across a designated portfolio of major business accounts.
• Review, prioritise, and manage ledger balances daily to maximise cash collection performance.
• Process manual Direct Debit collections and act promptly on any rejected payments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support timely payment of outstanding balances.
• Identify accounts requiring escalation and recommend further recovery action.
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve billing, payment, and account queries efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and up‑to‑date ledger information.
• Provide support and cover for colleagues across the wider credit team when required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit control or collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit control procedures and debt recovery processes.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Proactive, methodical approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a high‑volume, target‑driven workload.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
