Credit Documentation Officer – Banking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Documentation Officer to join a prestigious banking brand in the City of London. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality loan documentation across residential mortgages, buy‑to‑let, commercial real estate, and a limited range of SME and trade finance facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare term sheets, facility letters, addenda, borrower consents and related documents following credit approval.
• Solicit and manage fee quotes from panel valuers and solicitors, and coordinate their appointment.
• Track the return of signed documentation and ensure commitment fees are received.
• Review valuation reports, monitor legal conveyancing progress and resolve panel queries.
• Assess title and valuation reports, identify risks and recommend mitigations.
• Execute disbursement processes, book loan limits and collateral in the system.
• Post‑completion, obtain fully executed credit documents and maintain an accurate filing system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit administration or mortgage documentation within a banking environment.
• Familiarity with residential, BTL and commercial real‑estate lending products.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and ensure compliance with internal policies.
