Credit Hire Handler

About the role

The Credit Hire Handler will manage a portfolio of motor claims, focusing on third‑party credit hire and property damage. Working within the Operational Team, you will mitigate indemnity spend by proactively intervening and settling claims efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Validate motor claims for indemnity and fraud across the mitigation team.
• Assess liability accurately using all available evidence and tools.
• Contact claimants or their representatives promptly to gather key information and update claim files.
• Identify cases where intervention can reduce overall exposure, leveraging specialist in‑house motor engineers.
• Make commercial decisions to minimise indemnity spend.
• Maintain proactive diary management of live hire cases.
• Perform accurate quantum assessments and apply reserves in line with company guidelines.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks as required by the business.

Required profile

• Persuasive, confident communicator with strong negotiation skills.
• Self‑starter capable of using initiative to explore all options for optimal outcomes.
• Good understanding of insurer RTA obligations, credit hire case law, legal precedent and procedures.
• Motivated team player with the ability to work independently.

What we offer

• Salary between £30,295 and £35,271 per annum.
• Potential annual bonus of up to £2,000, paid quarterly.
• Hybrid working model (minimum three days per week in the Liverpool office).
• Full‑time permanent contract with 37.5 hours per week.
