Credit Intelligence Reporter – Private Equity

About the role

Gain is expanding its Intelligence Origination team into credit, building a data‑first platform that captures proprietary, transaction‑level credit intelligence for private‑equity deals. As a Credit Reporter you will source, verify and structure non‑public credit information to power Gain’s real‑time transaction tracker and client workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a trusted network of lenders, investment bankers, sponsors, advisors and lawyers.
• Conduct daily off‑record conversations to uncover non‑public credit insights.
• Capture high‑quality, structured datapoints and feed them directly into the Gain platform.
• Collaborate with in‑house analysts and research teams to ensure data completeness, consistency and machine‑readability.
• Support the growth of the real‑time transaction tracker and internal market‑intelligence sharing.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of professional experience in private credit, leveraged finance, M&A or private‑equity environments.
• Strong knowledge of credit markets and transaction processes.
• Proven ability to build high‑trust relationships with market participants.
• Excellent analytical mindset and attention to data accuracy.

Required skills

• Understanding of private‑credit and leveraged‑finance terminology.
• Ability to translate qualitative insights into structured, machine‑readable data.
