Credit Legal Documentation Analyst

About the role

Our client, an international bank, is looking for a Credit Legal Documentation Analyst to join its corporate lending team in London. The role is ideal for a legally qualified professional with experience reviewing and interpreting loan documentation in a banking or financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review legal documentation related to corporate lending and credit facilities, including facility agreements, loan agreements, security documents and guarantees.
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects approved credit terms, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify legal and documentation risks, inconsistencies and missing information.
• Liaise with internal Legal, Credit Risk, Relationship Managers and external solicitors to resolve documentation issues.
• Review Conditions Precedent (CPs) and Conditions Subsequent (CSs) before loan drawdown.
• Support new lending transactions, amendments, renewals and refinancing.
• Maintain accurate legal documentation records and assist with audit and compliance requests.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in the documentation review process.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
• Experience reviewing legal documentation within banking, financial services or a law firm.
• Strong understanding of loan documentation, facility agreements and security documentation.
• Experience with corporate lending or commercial banking documentation is highly advantageous.
