Credit Officer – Banks & Intragroup Sector

About the role

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Credit Officer to join its Financial Institutions Credit Risk team, focusing on the Banks and Intragroup sector. The role is hybrid, with at least two days per week in the office, and offers the chance to develop delegated credit authority while working across a range of FI portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse credit risk and provide recommendations on lending, trading limits and new transaction requests for a portfolio of global banks.
• Conduct client due‑diligence meetings and support new business origination aligned with the FI growth strategy.
• Contribute to sector strategy, appetite setting, and updates to credit policies and processes.
• Build trusted relationships with Coverage and Product teams to enable collaborative, collegiate working.
• Maintain data integrity and champion simplification and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment for banks.
• Robust knowledge of Financial Institutions sectors and products, preferably with direct banking credit experience.
• Familiarity with lending and traded products.
